Vermillion is the founder and owner of Vermillion Group
located in Des Moines, Iowa.
Prior to starting the Vermillion Group in 1992, Mike's
business career included time as Regional Manager for
Maytag Corporation, National Sales Manager for GTE, Vice
President for Telecom USA and Vice President for MCI.
During Mike's tenure as an executive, he became very familiar
with and utilized the recruiting industry both as a candidate
and as an employer.
While working with a variety of firms and recruiters,
Mike noticed some inherent issues that constantly made
the task at hand more difficult than it needed to be.
The lack of truly qualified and top level performers,
insufficient speed of hire, and feeling that recruiters
in the industry were more concerned about their own agenda
than his as an employer all contributed to Mike's determination
that his definition of integrity and quality service differed
from those with whom he worked.
Reacting on his belief that there was a serious "void"
in the recruiting profession, Mike decided to build an
organization that follows his principles of integrity,
honesty, service and commitment. Mike wanted his recruiters
to understand that people don't care what you know until
they know that you care. He wanted them to have the integrity
to follow through, do what they tell their clients and
candidates they'll do and provide the service that is
necessary for retention and growth. Mike recruited professionals
with a desire for service and commitment.
Those beliefs and principles is what has propelled the
Vermillion Group to the top during the last 15 years. |
