When a company is evaluating the capabilities of a search firm, the most common question that is asked is "How does your firm work?" The Vermillion Group follows a very simple and replicable yet effective process that is based on the foundation of working with our clients rather than trying to work for them. We use a straightforward approach comprised of three key elements: Assess, Implement, and Monitor - AIM.

Assess
The mission of Vermillion Group's Permanent Practice is to partner with those select clients where there is a philosophical fit. Our goal has never been to be all things to all people. As a client-focused search firm, we evaluate each potential assignment based on alignment with our areas of expertise and the timing and urgency of each search.

Like a competent physician we diagnose before we prescribe. We strive to understand as much about the client before ever communicating if or how we can help. Once our client and the Account Executive have come to an agreement that partnering together is a good business decision, we provide a confirmation letter - our written statement of your expectations - to confirm that expectations are aligned, respective roles have been agreed to, and that all parties are committed to this process. Once that confirmation is made, we move in to the implementation of the Identification and Delivery Process.

Implement
With our client's input and Vermillion Group's network of knowledge, we then work together to determine which target companies within our industry possess the candidates that best match your search criteria. We will cast our nets as wide or narrow as the client and Account Executive agree is appropriate in order to get to the right type of candidate.

Most recruiting firms only qualify to skills; that is not our goal and frankly isn't enough. We work to identify and qualify candidates based on skills, chemistry and motivation. We take careful consideration to insure that we present only those candidates who meet our client's criteria, but also are motivated to make a change for the right reasons. These are typically the "hidden market" portion of the potential candidate pool - people who are not necessarily actively "looking for a job", but due to our ability to establish rapport and relationships, share with us what type of "opportunity" would motivate them to make a change. Having that critical insight in to a candidate's true motivators allows our Account Executives to make matches that are based on the full picture, rather than just money, title or other surface area "hot buttons".

Once a candidate with the right skills and motivation are identified, we help facilitate the process of determining if the chemistry match is there between the client and candidate - the interview process. Once a candidate is selected for an interview we coordinate and ensure that all parties are thoroughly prepared to meet. Candidates are given an in-depth understanding of the position, company and people. Hiring managers are provided with detailed hot buttons regarding a candidate's interest, motivation, compensation and family when appropriate.

We will also work with both the candidate and client through the offer process to ensure a successful final decision. We constantly offer our insight and counsel our clients to help facilitate communication and ensure optimal results.

Monitor
Since the goal of our Account Executives is to establish lasting partnerships with our clients, the process doesn't end with candidate accepting an offer. Our Account Executives assist candidates in tendering their resignations and can offer complete and thorough relocation assistance when appropriate.

Upon completion of the Delivery Process, our Account Executives will actively solicit a complete and thorough evaluation of how our process worked. They will want to know if and where adjustments could be made to ensure an even more efficient and effective experience with future business.
