Interview with Donna Williams

dmw@vermilliongroup.com

What made you decide to become a recruiter?

A lot of my interest in recruiting came from the experiences I had within the retail arena. I had first hand exposure to unique people and situations and gained an understanding of how important having the right people in the right roles really is to an organization.

What are some attributes that set the best recruiters apart from the rest?

I believe that building relationships is key in this business. But I also know that you can't be afraid of hard work, sweat, and long hours. You have to be committed to the business and success, and you have to work with honesty and integrity at all times.

Tell us about your job at the Vermillion Group.

I work with the Federal Business & Contract Staffing business units and peform a number of different roles. I'm responsible for interfacing with our contractors who are currently on assignment with clients to make sure we get timecards in and processed, helping them with initial set up and account maintanence and various other issues. I also work with management to help with research projects, marketing campaigns and just about anything else that helps the business unit succeed. I also am involved in the interviewing process for new employees of our firm, from identification through selection and even in to the onboarding.
