What are some attributes that set you apart from other recruiters?
My knowledge and years of experience in the life insurance industry. Working in the trenches with different distribution channels gives me first-hand knowledge and a different perspective. It gives me an advantage that not too many recruiters have. The relationships that I have developed over the 30+ years in the industry are very valuable to my clients. My reach is at all levels, from the field agent to the CEO of the company.
Tell us about your desk specialty.
We recruit both Corporate and Field positions, Executives and Agency. Our functional areas of focus include: sales, marketing, distribution and operations. They also include all distribution channels from career, GA, PPGA, BGA, IMO, NMO, to Bank and Institutional.
What would be the best piece of advice you could offer a candidate?
Evaluate the last 10-15 years of your career. Figure out what you are good at and happy doing. Then target that type of opportunity. If you are good at it and you have fun doing the job, the likelihood of you performing to your maximum goes up dramatically.
