Interview with Mark Hardy

meh@vermilliongroup.com

Give us a little insight about your career history?

I started with Vermillion Group in 2006, and from day one have worked within the Healthcare IT arena. Prior to coming here, I sold for companies like AT&T, Wells Fargo and Ameriquest Mortgage. I also spent 7 1/2 years in the Marine Corp and I am a verteran of the first Gulf War.

What made you decide to become a recruiter?

I like finding out what people know and helping people with what I know. I like talking with companies about where they are going and how they see the future. I my view, the best part of recruiting is matching what someone is looking for with what someone else is trying to find.

What would be the best piece of advice you could offer a client?

Focus on recruiting the right talent for where you want to go. Don't settle for the best you're able to find right now.

What do you pride yourself on, job related?

That to the best of my ability, I reference both my clients and candidates so I'm able to get a clear prospective on whom I'm working with.

Give us a quote that summarizes what you’re all about as a professional recruiter?

All I do is match what someone is looking for with what someone is open to finding. I don't like to whittle the edges of an opportunity.

Family

I have only been married once and am still happily married to my wonderfull bride! We have two boys (8 and 6 years old), an English Mastiff and a cat that are fairly spoiled.

My personal mantra / motto is…

I've never understood why people quit before the job is done. You can achieve anything if you are focus on all the little step it takes to reach your goals. And keep your mind on the end result.
